Microdermabrasion

Clinic’estetica™ is proud to offer Microdermabrasion, a popular skin rejeuvenating technique that can improve the appearance of your skin. Microdermabrasion can reduce fine lines, “crow’s feet”, age spots, rough skin texture and uneven pigmentation. Microdermabrasion can also remove or improve whiteheads, blackheads, acne scars, rough skin texture and some stretch marks. It is also effective in reducing the appearance of keratosis pilaris as part of a skin care regimen. Microdermabrasion can be performed on any area of skin and is suitable for all skin types and skin tones.

By removing superficial layers of the skin, microdermabrasion allows new skin to appear. Tiny crystals are sprayed on the skin and suctioned back up into the machine along with loosened skin. The amount of pressure can be adjusted to control the level of abrasion, or to pass over an area several times to remove the most damaged skin. The entire treatment takes from 15-60 minutes depending on the area being treated. The result is a gentle abrasion that exfoliates the dead skin while stimulating the production of new skin cells and collagen for a more youthful appearance. Some people may experience the treatment as mild irritation, but most describe the tingling sensation in positive terms.  Microdermabrasion will leave you with smoother, younger looking skin and a healthy glow.

No anesthetic is required for our microderambrasion procedure which has virtually no side effects and can be repeated as often as once a week. Although the skin turns pinkish after treatment, this fades in a couple of hours and make-up can be applied immediately after the procedure. This treatment has no down-time and can result in a dramatically improved appearance.
