Most procedures have no down-time; however, buttock procedures DO require an overnight stay since you need to see the doctor on the day following the procedure AND you are not to sit for a 24 hour period. Most people opt to stay at one of the three hotels in Tijuana that are walking distance from the clinic and one that will provide transportation to the clinic. See the Tijuana Hotels link. A big advantage of staying in Tijuana is the wonderful food. Five star restaurants abound and are one of Tijuana’s best bargains. Which side of the border you stay at sometimes depends on your travel plans–what time you arrive, what time you will be leaving and what you want to do and see while in the area.
Here are the three hotels within walking distance from the clinic and one close to the border. You should phone the hotel and ask for their “clinic rate” and mention Clinic’estetica. One can generally obtain a better rate than by booking on the Internet. The prices fluctuate with the strength of the Mexican peso vs. the USD.
There are dozens of great eateries nearby plus street corner kiosks. Everyone uses bottled water in this area of town, so you need not fear eating at your hotel or at the restaurants.

Be aware that this hotel is built around a central courtyard and can be a bit noisy due to this open arrangement. There is a casino and nightclub in the hotel, and it is reported to be one of the safest places to stay in Tijuana.

O’Choa’s– Piano bar at 7:30, good food. Dancing in their club to live music Wednesday thru weekend .Los Angulo – for seafood – a large palapa almost across the street from the Lucerna Hotel. Villa Saverios at Avenida Escuadron and Sanchez Taboada - has consistently wonderful. Mediterranean cuisine. Cien Años - 5-star Mexican dining, great ambiance; next to the Hotel Real Del Rio. Cantina Remedios - yellow building on the Abraham Lincoln traffic circle. Good food, great margaritas and loud music. At times there can be two Mariachi groups and two bandas serenading different tables of party-goers simultaneously! The Lucerna has a restaurant off the lobby, and also the Rivoli specializing in Mediterranean cuisine. Piano music — over-looking the pool. On opposite corner of the “man on a horse” traffic circle is La Casa del Mole that is quite inexpensive with excellent food. This is cash only (of course, everyone takes USA dollars – for a quick conversion on menus, simply divide by 10).
Within a short distance of these hotels, there are probably ten 5-star restaurants. Security abounds in Zona Rio – I have never felt afraid walking alone, even very late at night. Most staff speak English and they are most helpful in providing directions and information on neighboring places. Ask the hotel doorman or bellhop – they always know the best places for each type of cuisine.
For those with an early morning return flight, we recommend you spend the night close to San Diego airport at one of a number of hotels.. Refer to the San Diego Hotels link. There are numerous adequate hotels near trolley stations, and most have several restaurants within walking distance. If you are using a site such as Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com to search for a hotel, those closest to the airport would be in the downtown area, Old Town, Little Italy or Hillcrest.
